Dale received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from Auburn University where he now serves on the Civil Engineering Industry Liaison Council and is currently serving as Immediate Past Chairman of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering’s Auburn Alumni Engineering Council. Dale has over 32 years of structural engineering experience and has worked on over 650 projects throughout the United States.

Dale has served as National Director and President of the American Consulting Engineers Council of Alabama, is an active member of the Structural Engineers Association of Alabama and has served as President of the Coalition of American Structural Engineers Alabama Chapter.  He has served as State Representative for the National Council of Structural Engineers Association and has served as Director of the American Concrete Institute Central Alabama Chapter. He is an active member of the American Institute of Steel Construction, and the American Concrete Institute.  Dale was also a member of the “Alabama Building Code Study Commission” that was created by a Joint Resolution of the Alabama Legislature and House that recommended changes to the State Building Code to the House and Senate in 2007.  He was also a member of the Alabama State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors “Board Composition Working Group” that made recommendations for the changes to the Board of Licensure. Dale was on the Board of Directors of the State of Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame from 2008 to 2010.
