Auburn’s Senior Design Class Visits LBYD

Dr. Anton Schindler and Auburn University’s Civil Engineering Senior Design Class recently visited LBYD’s Birmingham office.  Brad Christopher, principal and Nicole Sommerville, project engineer, gave the students a presentation on structural engineering and BIM modeling and then gave the students a tour of the office. The purpose of the trip was to expose the students to an engineering office environment.

Kevin Hendrix, LEED AP
Civil Engineer in Atlanta 

 Kevin graduated from Southern
Polytechnic State University with a BS in
Civil Engineering in 2008 and a BS in
Construction Engineering in 2010. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Engineering Degree from Colorado State University and anticipates a graduation date of May 2013.   

Greg Nye, PE
Project Manager in Birmingham 

 Greg graduated from Auburn University
with a BS in Civil Engineering in 1996 and
has over 12 years of experience in civil
engineering design. He has earned
his Certified Floodplain Managers (CFM) certification and has experience developing hydraulic and hydrological storm drainage models for large urban and rural watersheds.

  Brent graduated from Louisiana State
University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in May 2006 and from Virginia Tech with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering in December 2007.
