Location: Birmingham, Alabama Existing utilities, adjacent structures and limited street access coupled with the downtown environment created many civil engineering challenges with this project. Interior truck yards had to be designed to accommodate heavy vehicles within tight confinements. Chilled water and communication lines ran through the site. Close coordination with university personnel was required to ensure that these lines remained undisturbed and continuously operational for the duration of the project. |
